The always smiling man, with his black and white shirt is no more with us. Minhaz Quddus Fizu has left for heaven abode and has left behind a legacy of benevolent work, which has benefited thousands of under privileged people in Bangladesh. The whole of the Touching Souls International Community is shocked to hear the news of his untimely demise. Always a believer in good deeds and love for the mankind, Minhaz Quddus Fizu was a firm believer that actions speak for themselves. He was one of the mentors of Touching Souls International and we are deeply indebted for his immense contribution towards making what we are today.
Minhaz Quddus Fizu passed away at the age of 55, on the 9th of May in his sleep. He has left behind a son, a daughter and his wife. In such a ripe and active age, his death is really a great loss to the benevolent community, which may never be filled again. Being the Regional Director of the Bangladesh division, he was actively involved in all the functions of Touching Souls International and came out with innovative thinking which would help thousands of people all over the country. In our passage of work all through these years, we have faced lots of constraints and hardships and it was Minhaz’s endeavor and enthusiasm that was always a helping hand and pillar of support.
Minhaz Quddus Fizu was deeply involved with the compassionate activities in Bangladesh. He had a kind heart and was pained to see the sufferings of the poor and needy. Founder of the Banail High School in the year 2003, Fizu had actively participated in its revamp and had provided education to hundreds of underprivileged children. In a village where there was no hope of education for kids, he was the first to light the lamp of learning. Just two months back on the 26th of March, he had organized the annual sports for the school and village kids. It was a grand success and helped us earn accolades from all sections of the society.
We, at Touching Souls International salute this great personality and are committed to move forward the good work done by Minhaz Quddus Fizu. His support and vision will always be the pillar of strength in the future. We pray to God that his relatives find strength in such tough times. May his soul always rest in peace!
