The fundamental conditions of social living are health, shelter, education, food, income and a safe environment. Education is the only empowerment to eradicate ignorance, poverty, and make individuals become independent to become self-reliant and live with respect in the society.
Every child deserves education no matter what the conditions. Children must be educated to change themselves, the society and the world. In some countries, the education system is run by governments, private bodies, charities or other bodies to deliver planned and quality education to the children of the society. In developing countries like Bangladesh, parents of many children in villages are unable to send their children to schools, since they earn a small amount of money, most of which is spent on food.
Touching soul’s International’s mission has been to unleash the rural power to enhance the quality of life of rural people. They have been trying to educate deprived children in rural areas in Bangladesh with their charity work. Kids need to understand ethics, empathy, basic rights and freedoms, compassion, and responsibility to make for them a position in the society. Touching Souls International has made their dreams of going to school come true by providing them with free education, along with stationery and books. By giving the opportunity of education to village and slum kids this nonprofit organization is helping them discover their creativity and encouraging them to find what they like and are good at, they can become more productive members of our society.
To improve the condition of people in remote villages in Bangladesh, Touching Souls International runs 2 schools for children. One in Halishahar, Chittagong that serves 130 students and another in Banail, Kishoregonj that educates 225 students. The schools build an environment that supports learning, providing lunch every day, health-care and family support. This nonprofit organization also offers scholarships to students of grade 5 to 12 to help pay for their education. These students have to be a meritorious students or orphans who cannot provide for their schooling. Sometimes these kids are even taught by a teacher who is paralyzed from a spinal cord injury and receiving free treatment from the Nurture Hospital of the Paralyzed and financed by Touching Souls International. But these neglected kids do not mind that. As long as they are getting an education, they are happy.
Touching Souls International provides fellowships to water forum journalists who provide the best and who do research work on how the water, more specifically polluted water, will affect people in Bangladesh, the betterment of the environment, and other environmental topics. The journalists must submit an application and the application goes through a review board. The Fellowship Review Board is comprised of journalists selected earlier for specializing in the environment.
Education is the only way to progress in the society and Touching Souls International has taken up charity to the cause of education to empower the deprived children with A Bright Future..
