In order to improve the quality of health care infrastructure , we at Touching Souls International, have taken a number of benevolent measures. The palliative care project undertaken by us is the right step in taking health care in the country to a higher level. Palliative care is an important part of preventive health care services and aims to improve the overall condition of patients. The main objective of the palliative care by us is to train doctors, nurses and volunteers with efficient and safe medical services for improvement of the standard of living.
Palliative care is a comparatively new field of treatment in Bangladesh and is mostly restricted within the affluent sections of society. One of the main reasons why palliative health care is still under developed is because the hospitals, clinics and health centers are not fully equipped enough to deal with this medical field. Moreover doctors and nurses are also not trained enough to handle such a situation. In an effort to provide quality training and knowledge in this new field of health care, our palliative program aims to provide aid and funding for training doctors, nurses and volunteers in hospitals and clinics across the country.
We have a team of expert volunteers who are skilled in the field of palliative care. The team provides training doctors and medical staff to make them adept in this field for the purpose of quality health care in Bangladesh. Starting from aids for improving infrastructure to providing quality training, our palliative care programs include a number of steps for the expansion of this new medical service.
Working in cooperation with the palliative care facility of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the only Medical University in the country, our palliative care services aims to reach out to the hospitals and clinics of the remote districts of Bangladesh.
